  • INHALATION
    		• Blue lips or finger nails. Blue skin. Dizziness. Headache.
    		Local exhaust or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest. Artificial respiration if indicated. Refer for medical attention.
  • SKIN
    		• Blue lips or fingernails. Blue skin (further see Inhalation).
    		Protective gloves.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
  • EYES

    		• Safety spectacles, or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• Blue lips or fingernails. Blue skin. Dizziness. Headache. Laboured breathing.
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
    		Rinse mouth. Refer for medical attention.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Sweep spilled substance into clean containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place (extra personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles).
    		Separated from strong oxidants, acids. Well closed.

     COLOURLESS TO WHITE RHOMBIC CRYSTALS , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.

     The substance decomposes on heating or on burning producing toxic and corrosive fumes including hydrogen bromide and nitrogen oxides (see ICSC # 0282). The substance is a weak base. Reacts with acids.

    		ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     No indication can be given about the rate in which a harmful concentration in the air is reached on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance may cause effects on the blood , resulting in formation of methaemoglobin. The effects may be delayed. Medical observation is indicated.
