Alcohol-resistant foam, powder, carbon dioxide.
EXPLOSION Above 45°C explosive vapour/air mixtures may be formed.
Above 45°C use a closed system, ventilation, and explosion-proof electrical equipment.
In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water.
EXPOSURE


  • INHALATION
    		• Cough. Dizziness. Headache. Nausea. Sore throat.
    		Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
  • SKIN
    		• Dry skin. Redness. Roughness. Pain.
    		Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower.
  • EYES
    		• Redness. Pain.
    		Safety spectacles, face shield, or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• Abdominal pain. Burning sensation in the chest and stomach. Headache. Nausea. Unconsciousness. Vomiting. Weakness.
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
    		Rinse mouth. Give a slurry of activated charcoal in water to drink. Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer for medical attention.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Collect leaking liquid in sealable containers. Wash away spilled liquid with plenty of water.
    		Fireproof. Separated from strong oxidants.

     COLOURLESS LIQUID , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.




    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
     Reacts violently with strong oxidants. Reacts with reducing agents. Reacts violently with hydrogen trisulfide causing explosion hazard.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
     TLV: 100 ppm; 361 mg/m3 (as TWA) , 125 ppm; 452 mg/m3 (STEL) (ACGIH 1997).
    MAK: 100 ppm; 360 mg/m3; (1996).


    		ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     A harmful contamination of the air will be reached rather slowly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance irritates the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract. The substance may cause effects on the central nervous system, if ingested.

    EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
     The liquid defats the skin.
